ITINERARY
ZAGREB TO DUBROVNIK
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrive in Zagreb where you will be met and transfer to your accommodation. After free time to settle in, spend the afternoon exploring the city with your guide, along with a welcome dinner before retiring to your hotel.
Day 2: ZAGREB – PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, travel through the beautiful Lika region to the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Day 3: PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK
Spend the day enjoying the park. Overnight at Plitvice Lakes
Day 4: PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK – OPATIJA
Travel through Istria today to the Baroque town of Opatija. Spend some time walking the Lungomare, marvel at the beautiful architecture of the town.
Day 5: OPATIJA
Travel to the towns of Rovinj and Pula today. Visit the amphitheatre and the beautiful fishing village of Rovinj.
Day 6: OPATIJA – KASTELA
Take the scenic route to Kastela today. Kastela has attracted people since prehistoric times and was once the summer palaces of Roman rulers and Croatian royalty. Today, it is a popular resort town with long sandy beaches and beautiful green pine and tamaris trees. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the area.
Day 7: KASTELA
Enjoy a guided tour of Split today. Visit Diocletian’s Palace, Jupiter’s Temple, St Duje’s cathedral. Visit the flower market and the fruit market. Spend some time wandering along the famous Riva and enjoy the city.
Day 8: KASTELA
Take an optional day excursion to the islands today. Visit the blue cave, Hvar and Solta. Alternatively, visit the town of Trogir, an ancient city dating back to 300BC
Day 9: KASTELA – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, travel down the coastal road to Dubrovnik. Stop in the town of Ston along the way to see the famous Wall of Ston – the longest continous wall in Europe and second longest in the world. On arrival in Dubrovnik, check into your hotel and spend the afternoon wandering along the Stradun.
Day 10: DUBROVNIK
Visit the areas surrounding the city today. Go up Mount Srd for a panoramic view of the city, visit the war museum for a better perspective of Croatia, take a drive to explore other areas. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner overlooking the walls of the city.
Day 11: DEPARTURE
Time to say ‘Farewell’. Transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
