Grand Balkans Motorcycle Tour

ITINERARY

Day 1: KASTELA – CROATIA

Arrive at Split airport where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.  

Day 2: KASTELA

Time to relax this morning.  This afternoon, pack your motorcycle and get ready for your trip.  

Day 3: MOSTAR – BOSNIA-HERCEGOVINA

Depart after breakfast and head to Mostar, a city in southern Bosnia i Hercegovinia. Spend time exploring the ancient markets and alleyways.  Visit the iconic Mostar bridge, the mosque and get a glimpse into the culture of the Ottoman empire.  

Day 4:  NEVIDIO – MONENEGRO

Travel to the Tara Canyon today – the largest and deepest canyon in Europe.  

Day 5:  NEVIDIO

Spend the day exploring the canyon.  

Day 6: PEJE – KOSOVO

Cross into Kosovo today to Prizren.  Located on the banks of the Prizren River in the foorhills of the Sharr mountains in southern Kosovo, Prizren is the historical capital of Albania.  

Day 7: SKOPJE – NORTH MACEDONIA

Travel to North Macedonia today and to the capital city, Skopje.  Inhabited since 4000BC, remain of Neolithic settlements can be found in the city. 

Day 8: OHRID

Head south today to Lake Ohrid.  Straddled between North Macedonia and Albania, it is one of the deepest and oldest lakes in Europe.  It has a unique aquatic system with over 200 different endemic species.  

Day 9: TIRANA – ALBANIA

Cross into Albania today.  Ride through the mountains and hills of Albania to Tirana, the capital of the country.  Known for its colouful Ottoman-era architecture, the city has been continuously inhabited since the Iron Age.  

Day 10: THETH

Start heading north again today as you travel to Theth, a small town in the Shkoder county of Albania. Situated in the middle of a national park, Theth has been declared a Protected Historic Centre.  

Day 11: KOTOR – MONTENEGRO

Ride through the undicovered beauty of Montenegro today.  Follow the road to Kotor, a fortified town in the bay of Mt Lovcen.  Visit St John’s fortress for a view of the bay.  

Day 12: DUBROVNIK – CROATIA

Ride through Montengro to Croatia today, stopping in Dubrovnik.  Situated on the Adriatic sea, Dubrovnik is known for its distinctive old city encircled with its massive stone walls and well-preserved buildings.  

Day 13: KASTELA

After time to explore the area around Dubrovnik, take the coastal route back to Kastela today.  Hand back your motorcycle today.  

Day 14: KASTELA

Free day today to relax and enjoy the beach.  

Day 15: DEPARTURE

Time to say ‘Farewell’.  Transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
