ITINERARY
Day 1: ZAGREB
Arrive at Zagreb airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free time this afternoon to get settled in.
Day 2: PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK
Guided tour of Zagreb with an English- speaking guide this morning. Visit the medieval Upper Town, St. Mark’s church, with its multicolor tiled roof, Parliament, the government palace, cathedral and Ban Jelaćić square. After the sightseeing we proceed to Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Day 3: PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK – KASTELA
After an early breakfast, spend the morning enjoying the oldest National Park in Croatia, also under UNESCO protection. Take a boat ride across the Emerald Lake, soak in the beauty of the 16 lakes connected by waterfalls. Later, continue on to Kastela. This beautiful town was once the holiday home of Roman emperors, complete with their vineyeards and castles. Today, the long beaches are enjoyed by many. Spend the afternoon relaxing and exploring the area.
Day 4: KASTELA
Take an optional day trip to one of the many islands – Hvar; Brac; Vis; Solta. Perhaps visit the Blue Cave; enjoy a fish picnic and boat ride or just simply relax.
Day 5: KASTELA
Enjoy an optional guided tour of the city of Split this morning. This afternoon, wander through the ancient streets and explore the markets. Split is a monument city under UNESCO protection. Here we find an abundance of Roman architecture – of special interest is Diocletian’s palace.
Day 6: DUBROVNIK
Travel along the scenic route to Dubrovnik today. Spend the afternoon wandering along the Stradun, enjoying the markets and ancient streets and experiencing the wonder of this ‘Jewel of the Adriatic’
Day 7: DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport in time for your flight home
